The OPTITEMP TT 51 also shines when it comes to the topic of reliability and safety: external influences such as the ambient temperature, vibrations, up to 95 % relative humidity and electromagnetic waves have almost no influence on the measurement result.
The unique SmartSense insulation resistance monitoring is designed to detect moisture in the thermowell, and the SIL2 approval in accordance with the latest IEC61508 (2010 edition, version 2) makes the device ideally suited for long-lasting trouble-free use even in safety-related applications.
The OPTITEMP TT 51 will impress you with its precision: in addition to a significant improvement in reliability, dual-sensor input makes sensor drift detection possible, identifying age-related measurement errors as well. The feature allows to actively intervene in the case of a malfunction of one sensor by automatically switching to the other sensor.
Thanks to the ConSoftTM configuration software, the start-up of the OPTITEMP TT 51 is particularly simple. ConSoftTM identifies the connected transmitter and opens the necessary configuration software.
The OPTITEMP TT 51 can be programmed from a distance of up to 1,500 metres with the HART® handheld. The programming of the converter is also possible with an EDD or FDT frame container, using HART® 6/DTMs.
The OPTITEMP TT 51 series consists of 2 different versions. OPTITEMP TT 51 C is primarily intended to be mounted in DIN-B housing, whereas OPTITEMP TT 51 R is the rail-mounted version. The standard redundancy of both transmitters comes in 2-wire and 3-wire circuits with thermocouples and resistance thermometers. The rail-mounted device is the only temperature transmitter currently on the market to feature the option of a redundant 4-wire connection of RTDs.
The OPTITEMP TT 51 C is optionally available in a non-incendive version for use in potentially explosive atmosphere zone 2 and in an intrinsically safe version for use in zone 0, 1 and 2. Both versions are intended for installation in a B-connection head or larger according to DIN 43729.
The OPTITEMP TT 51 R is optionally available in a non-incendive version for use in potentially explosive atmosphere zone 2 and in an intrinsically safe version for use in zones 1 and 2. Both versions are intended for installation on a rail according to DIN 50022.
This transmitter family utilises a modular design in hardware as well as in software to ensure the quality and reliability of the transmitter signal output.
